Harbor Country Adventures is currently seeking employees for the 2020 season, which begins in May. Please see below for job descriptions.

Captain

The Captain shall have the sole responsibility for insuring the safety and security of the vessel, the passengers and the crew at all times. They shall be licensed by the United States Coast Guard to operate the vessel and insure that all rules and regulations are followed as set forth for each vessel they are assigned to operate. The Captain will also assume responsibility for seeing that the vessel and its crew are ready to accept passengers and provide the tour and associated activities in a professional and timely manner.

Deckhand

The Deckhand is an integral part of the safe operation of all vessels. They are required to carry out those tasks which support the captain and allow for the vessel to function in its role as a tour boat. This includes, but is not limited to, securing the vessel, maintaining vessel cleanliness, providing manpower for tasks as assigned, and assisting in providing the necessary comfort and safety of the passengers. The Deckhand should at all times present a professional and positive image for the company. The Deckhand should be visible at all times and interact with the passengers on a regular basis in order to provide quality customer service. Due to USCG regulations, all Crew Members must be a United States Citizen. Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a criminal background check and drug test as required, obtain CPR/First aid certification, and obtain a TWIC card as required. Apply Now Button

Bartendar

Harbor Country Adventures vessels feature a full service bar as an added amenity to our guests. The Bartender’s primary responsibility is to keep the bar clean and organized at all times, while delivering excellent customer service to all customers. Previous bartending experience is not required. However, if hired, bartenders must obtain an Indiana Liquor license prior to beginning the training process. In addition, the Bartender is responsible for completing all paperwork associated with the functions of the bar and will have constant interaction with all crew members. Due to USCG regulations, a Bartender must be a United States Citizen. A Bartender is considered a crew member and will be required to participate in drills and training and must be physically able to perform heavy lifting. Must be 21 years of age or older.
